We work with founders, teams, and businesses who are wanting to build their tech product the right way. You might be a startup launching something completely new, fixing something that never quite worked, or trying to scale beyond where you started. If you’re wanting to do it right by focusing on strategy first, then we’d love to hear more!
You’ve got the idea, maybe even some early interest, but you need a partner who can turn your vision into something real. We’ll help you make sense of what to build (and what not to), create a clear technical roadmap, and build something useful and launch-ready. You don’t need a background in tech, we’ll walk you through this.
You’re already up and running, but now you need a platform, tool, or product to take things further. It might be internal software, a customer-facing app, or something more experimental.
You moved quickly (maybe too quickly) to get something out the door. Now it’s holding you back from scaling, and perhaps even getting in the way of seeking investment. We’ll help you step back, assess what’s working, and rebuild from a stronger foundation with strategy at the forefront.
You’ve proven the concept, you’ve got users, and now it’s time to grow. But the tech’s not quite right, the UX is messy, or the roadmap is unclear. We’ll help you start again, plan ahead properly, and get ready to scale confidently.
You described what you wanted, a model built it, and it worked right up until it did not. The product thinking in there is usually worth keeping. What normally needs replacing is everything a demo never had to do: real authentication, a data layer that survives more than one well-behaved user, payments that reconcile, and a deployment you can trust. That is a specific service, and it starts with a paid review rather than a rebuild.
That’s fine too. If you’re building or rebuilding a digital product and want to do it with intention, we’re happy to chat. We work with people who want to build better, and we’re flexible in how we show up to support that.
It is cheaper for both of us to work this out in the first conversation, so here is the honest version.
We do not price a build before understanding what it is for, because a number produced at that point is a guess. If you need a fixed figure today to put in front of someone, we are the wrong call. What we can do is tell you roughly what things cost: we published real Australian app build costs for exactly that reason.
Accounting, payroll, email and standard CRM are solved problems, and building your own is rarely a good use of money. We will say so rather than take the work. If you are weighing that decision, we wrote about custom software versus off-the-shelf and the signs you have actually outgrown the tools you pay for.
We are not a staffing agency and we do not place developers into someone else's backlog. We take responsibility for outcomes, which means we need enough involvement in the decisions to be accountable for them. If what you want is technical leadership without a build attached, that is a fractional CTO engagement instead.
Every build we have done has taught us something in the first month that changed the second. If the specification is fixed and the answer to what we learn is that it is too late to act on it, you will get a worse product and we will have watched it happen. Our process assumes strategy up front and then room to respond.
A first conversation is free and is mostly us asking questions. If it looks like a fit, the next step is usually a paid strategy piece: discovery sessions and a roadmap you own whether or not you build it with us. From there, scoping turns that roadmap into a plan with a number attached, and only then does anyone quote a build.
If you would rather see the work than read about the process, the case studies cover what we built for four clients and what changed as a result. There is also a breakdown of every service we offer, and if you are outside Melbourne, how we work with clients around Australia.
